Ponchatoula is “Strawberry Capital of the World”. Our delicious strawberries are available from November to April. Strawberry farmers past and present have been honored with the “Strawberry Farmer Wall of Fame” located in front of city hall. In 2001 the Louisiana Legislature selected the strawberry as the state fruit. Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival is held in April of every year and is the second largest festival in the state. Chamber After Hours

The Chamber After Hours is a great opportunity to get know more about the Ponchatoula Business and Professional Community. This once monthly event is hosted by local businesses to give members an opportunity to meet in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The sponsors provide the best of food and drink. The attendees network in a friendly atmosphere which is synonymous with Ponchatoula. Door prizes are provided by local businesses. If you are interested in joining the Chamber please come by and meet us or join on line and someone will contact you.
